Deploying One Drive in Intune

We are in the process of moving everyone to the Cloud and our Safety Committee wanted a spreadsheet that all the folks at the different sites could access simultaneously. Since this is going to be something we are going to do for everyone I’ve decided to deploy it through Intune.

Navigate to Windows and Select Windows Apps

Select +Add
Select the App Type -> Store App-> Microsoft Store App

Side Note: I prefer Microsoft Store Apps for a number of reasons. One is that you dont have to package them up. Another is that any updates are automated if you use a Microsoft Store App. Yay for Automation.

Give your App the following information:

Name (Required)

Description (Required)

Publisher (Required)

Appstore URL (Required)

Category:

Show this as a featured app in the Company Portal:

Now that we have that info filled out we need to be able to assign it to our employees. I’m going to pilot to a small group as a test before we send it off to the rest of the company.

In Azure AD I’m creating a new Group and I’m naming it App – OneDrive. I will add members to it eventually once I’ve identified who my test users will be.

So now that the group has been created in Azure, it’s ready to go I need to tie the group to the application.

At this point im saving my changes and pressing Create.
