Ricky and I decided that living in the Portland Metro Area was getting too expensive. The price of everything just rose including homeowners tax. When I bought my little condo in 2015 my yearly property owner’s tax was around $1000 a year and my jaw nearly dropped when I saw it raised to over $3,000. To me, that is just asinine and taxes in Clark Country are more reasonable then than in Multnomah country.
We bought a house out of State and moved in March. It’s not a huge house but I’m a firm believer in living below my means and no matter what bad things happen, I should always be able to afford the Mortgage no matter what happens. The best part is that my taxes are super cheap. Try $600 a YEAR! What the? What the?
